PROJECT M is committed to delivering outstanding wines and virtual experiences to businesses and organizations. Winemaker Jerry Murray’s presentation style is as engaging to enthusiasts as it is to novices. Below is some useful information that will help you organize a fantastic experience for your team!


BOOK A TASTING: WORKFLOW

Follow the steps below to ensure a smooth process when setting up your virtual tasting. Click the down arrows to review important information for each step.

  • 1. REVIEW SHIPPING RESTRICTIONS

    CHECK LEGAL REQUIREMENTS FOR SHIPPING WINE TO YOUR STATE

    We wish shipping wine were as easy as shipping a blouse or book. Wine is a highly regulated product, and each state has its own regulations and taxes.

    • We offer great shipping rates to these states.
    • We can ship to most other states with a bit more effort and, as a result, expense. Shipping to UT, AR, MS, KY, AL, RI, DE is prohibited by law.

    UPS has suspended all guaranteed delivery times due to increased, COVID-related demand. To avoid wines not being delivered by the required dates we suggest allowing:

    • Fifteen Days between ship date and the scheduled tasting for addresses east of the Rocky Mountains.
    • Seven days between ship date and the scheduled tasting for addresses west of the Rocky Mountains.

    We emphasize the ship date as opposed to the order date.
    Wines will be ready to be shipped four days after completed orders are received.

    We know you are probably working with a budget approval process. In some instances, we can develop a “flat rate” for shipping to allow you to create and stay on a budget more reliably.

    FOR ALL SHIPMENTS:

    • Wine cannot be delivered to P.O. Boxes. Residential or Business addresses are required.
    • All wine deliveries will require Adult Signatures.
    • The customer will be responsible for returned shipments due to failed elivery attempts.

  • 2. SELECT A TASTING PACKAGE

    SELECT FROM OUR TASTING EXPERIENCES OR CUSTOMIZE YOUR OWN

    Our Tasting Experiences feature four thematically selected bottles made by PROJECT M from select vineyards in Oregon’s Willamette Valley. You can learn more about our tasting packages here.
    • Additional wines, such as our celebratory Acclara Sparkling Rosé, can be added to any package.
    • While we can also create custom packages to fit your needs, we do not offer packages of less than four bottles for groups with fewer than 30 “cells” (Zoom logins).

    Be sure to consider shipping expenses in your budget.

     

  • 3. GATHER REQUIRED INFORMATION

    To process and ship orders, PROJECT M requires the following personal information for purchasers and tasters organized in our spreadsheet template (provided by Project M). For security purposes, Credit Card information will be communicated via phone. All participants will receive emails regarding the tastings and follow up emails as well. UPS may also contact them regarding delivery.

    *It is important to understand that failure to submit this spreadsheet in a timely manner will result in delays in shipping your wines. We will not provide refunds for wines purchased that fail to be delivered in time for your scheduled tasting.

ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE

THE TASTINGS. Each participant will receive an email containing PROJECT M’s “Virtual Tasting Guide” which will provide tips to better enjoy the experience and links to useful articles and vendors.

Tastings run about 1 hour and 15 minutes. If discussions are brisk, they may extend to 1 and ½ hours.

PROJECT M can host the tastings on our Zoom account. However, we find that most businesses and organizations meet or mingle either before or after the tasting. We encourage you to host the tasting on your platform and simply invite us to join so that the tasting experience doesn’t interrupt these activities.

DATES & TIMES. PROJECT M is a small family winery. Though we do our best to accommodate all requests, availability for tastings is limited. We do not book tastings on Sundays. We also do not book tastings before 10 am or after 5 pm PST.  We find that the process for booking tastings for teams and organizations is most efficient when the organizer has already worked with the team to narrow down a few dates and times.  

GROUP SIZE. Though group size is limited to 100 people, we generally find engagement is best with 20 or fewer tasters. For groups of fewer than eight tasters, we charge a $65 Tasting Fee.

CUSTOMIZED EXPERIENCES. Your business has something special to communicate! Winemaker Jerry Murray is a dynamic presenter capable of placing wine in the broader context of culture. He has successfully created presentations that use the story of wine to emphasize product attributes and organizational cultures. We can work with you to educate your clients or teams about wine and what you do, and who you are. Because of the time required to develop these programs, there is a minimum requirement of 30 days between engagement and the scheduled presentation. Additional fees will apply.
